SUMMARY

Yealink T4 Series phone is compatible with sip.audio. It is however, not a professional audio device. It can be used as a screening device to answer calls for talkshows.

CONFIGURATION
  1. Connect the phone using ethernet. It also requires power. Navigate to 'Status' to discover its IP address. You may have to bypass a warning that the connection is not secure.
  2. Enter the IP address into a web browser on the same network. The default user and password are both 'Admin'.
  3. From the menu, navigate to 'Account'. Set the fields as follows...
    Line Active: Enabled
    Label: SIP
    Register Name: SIP Account Username (For example, enter fmstation.yealink for fmstation.yealink@sip.audio)
    Username: (The same value as Register Name)
    Password: SIP Account Password
    SIP Server 1
    Server Host: sip.audio - Port: 5060
    Transport: UDP or TCP
    Enable Outbound Proxy Server: Enabled
    Outbound Proxy Server 1: proxy.sip.audio - Port: 5060
    Outbound Proxy Server 1: proxy2.sip.audio - Port: 5060
    NAT: STUN
  4. Click 'Confirm'.
  5. Click the 'Codec' link, on the left. Move your desired codecs to the 'Enable Codecs' column. If Opus calls are choppy, remove Opus from the list, and move G722 to the top.
  6. Click 'Confirm'.
  7. From the menu, navigate to 'Network'. Set the fields as follows...
    STUN:
    Active: Enabled
    STUN Server: 46.37.165.198 (Note that this address may change. Check the current IP for stun.sip.audio)
  8. Click 'Save'.
FORWARDING CALLS
  1. You can set a button on the phone to forward calls to your studio codec.
  2. From the menu, navigate to 'Dsskey'. Set the fields as follows...
    Type: Transfer
    Value: SIP Account Username for forward destination. (For example, enter fmstation.xlrcodec for fmstation.xlrcodec@sip.audio)
    Label: Studio
  3. Click 'Confirm'.
DIALLING NUMBERS WITH A ZERO
  1. sip.audio only recognises numbers that are prefixed by the + symbol and the country code.
  2. You can use the Yealink Dial Plan settings to replace a zero with +XX. Use Replace Rule as follows...
    Prefix: 0([1-9])(.)
    Replace: +XX$1$2 where XX is the country code.
  3. Click 'Add'.
DIALLING NUMBERS WITH A DOUBLE ZERO
  1. To replace 00 with +, Use Replace Rule as follows...
    Prefix: 00(.)
    Replace: +$1
  2. Click 'Add'.
