Enter firstname.lastname@example.org as the destination in your SIP compliant device or app. For the best chance of success calling unknown devices, enable the OPUS codec (preferred), or G722.
Is there a difference if people call my sip.audio phone number?
Probably. In theory, a device which supports the OPUS codec can call another such device and the networks inbetween will pass the codec end to end. This is at least the future which we're working towards. In reality, it's very possible that somewhere along the line, the call will be interpreted as a POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) call, and therefore stripped of its fidelity.
